Do I have to pay to be on the map?
No. Every active business on Caye Caulker gets a free basic listing synced from Airtable. Verified and Featured tiers unlock owner control, analytics and priority placement.
How is Verified different from the paper map?
The paper map costs about the same ($60/yr), but reprints once a year, has no analytics and no way to fix a wrong closing time until the next print run. Verified lets you update hours and photos in minutes and see who tapped your card this month.
What counts as "verified"?
You show us evidence of ownership — a matching phone or email on your listing, or an in-person visit voucher. Once verified you get self-serve edit access.
How does the featured gold-star pin work?
Featured businesses appear with a gold-star pin on the map and rank first in their category. Only one business per micro-niche is featured at a time so it stays scarce.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Annual, billed once, non-renewing. If you cancel we'll finish out the year and drop you back to Listed at renewal.
Who runs this app?
A small independent project by a local resident. We're not affiliated with any tour operator, hotel chain, ferry company or the Belize Tourism Board — which means we can rank strictly by what visitors find useful.
